Paid photos
After time spent before gate to the fort we were finally allowed to pay. I started to be nervous, I have made more than 90 photos today without paying any rupee :-) It's time to change our behaviour :-)
Mehrangarh Fort
250 Rs and audio guide is in price. Just leave your passport here and you will eventually collect it at stop 34...
The Fort is huge, we could see only its part (I would say most of palace). It is beautiful and it was one of the nicest palaces I have seen in India. I am glad we have been here.
That part of city is bluer than one we have been to.
All gates in India that mean it with security seriously are angled .
British influence in decoration of this room.
Jaswant Thada
Jaswant Thada is marble mausoleum of Maharja Jaswant Singh II. It is very close to Fort so we decided to go there (zoom on my camera promised nice photos could be taken there). We have found rickshaw for 10Rs which is good price compared to 15 minutes walk in hot weather without much drinking water. Not to mention our need to be at airport at noon...
Jaswant Thada was the first place we did not pay entrance fee, but contribution :-) 110 Rs for 2 people and 2 cameras.
Fort from Jaswant Thada.
Airport
I have described our ride to airport when driver tried to raise agreed price by 150% here. Shortly before arriving to airport I have noticed a display showing temperature 35.5°C.
We arrived to airport soon (as usual). Problem with this airport was that they did not have bottled water to sell before security. Only after security I could buy some for 20Rs. Departure gate was completely full and no flight announced. But when people started to form queue we decided we need to be there too :-) Nobody cared that queued people have differently coloured boarding passes (clear sign they use different carriers). We were 15 minutes after scheduled departure when security announced that our flight will be boarding sooner so most of people needed to leave OUR queue :-) Yes, it was OUR queue, not theirs! :-) Flight to New Delhi was uneventful apart from that we got a meal (for 2 hours flight!). Only that taxiing between international and domestic airport could be done more quickly...Back
