We have been to Windsor 3 weeks ago, but I was not able to publish pictures sooner. We wanted to visit Windsor Castle for long time, but we have always put it aside. Finally we decided to go, seeing nice weather in April.

Windsor & Windsor Castle

Windsor is very nice town. It has nice character and we liked it a lot.

Windsor Castle is also very nice, but we found it bit expensive. OK, ticket it is valid for one year, but I am not sure we will return, because there are still so many places we have not seen... But it is worth visiting Windsor Castle.

We had nice weather with blue sky early morning, then it was cloudy for some time. Thus we returned later to take more photos when weather got better again. Unfortunately castle was closed then. Regardless our one year valid ticket :-)

The Irish Guards. It was tough fight to get unobstructed view. And it saves money to have digital camera in a crowd (at least for those who are not after having blurry old lady's hair in corner of photo).

I like interesting labels, especially after context is removed :-)

Eton

Just across the river there is town Eton. If there was no sign on bridge we would even not know. It just looks like Windsor on other bank of river. It has the same nice character.

We went to see Eton College, then back to Windsor.

There are many nice old houses in Eton. If only those cars were not parking in front of them (and wide lens would help in some cases too).
