Greetings from wet and windy Cardiff! This is my postcard 1.0 (or better 0.5 :-) ). Finally, I was able to get to some sight-seeing here at March 7th-9th. Pictures follow, some also with explanation. The original idea to keep it like postcard with 3-5 pictures failed due to incorrect scope estimation :-(

Friday

Only short trip compared with what was expected next two days.

Caerphilly Castle

Caerphilly is small town, 19 minutes by train or 50 by bus(!), North of Cardiff with beautiful castle.

St Fagans - Museum of Welsh Life

Very nice garden + cottage together with open-air museum is located in St Fagans. Following pictures are taken in garden.

Weather is really variable in Wales. Between this and following picture we went inside St Fagans Cottage for 10 minutes, got out and took 3-5 terrible pictures because sky was full of heavy clouds then waited till heavy rain stops for another 10 minutes. We passed that waiting time by discussing whether we are going to catch bus one hour sooner or will be waiting some time more. We persisted and in few minutes clouds broke and only nice weather was ahead of us for rest of the day! :-)

Following pictures are from open-air museum. Unfortunatelly, we skipped probably one half of the exhibition, because we did not want to be there one more hour. Well we did not prepare enough for this trip, because it was planned differently originally.

Ever wondered where plane's cabin has got its name from? From cockpit, hadn't it? :-)
