« Seychelles - Anse Georgette | To Madeira » |
- You can take bus and go to Mont Plaisir terminal station, which is about 2 stops, but quite steep slope. Then you can walk 1.9km throught country (it took us 37 min).
- Take bus going in other direction for 50 minutes and get off at Anse Boudin. Then walk steep road up and down for 1km.
Following photos are from morning walk to Anse Lazio from Mont Plaisir, from the 2nd half of it, to be more precise.
The bottom bay is our destination - Anse Lazio. Land in the distance is island Curieuse.
The first glimpse of Anse Lazio.
Anse Lazio is described as a top beach in Praslin. Lonely Planet says that hotels around the island offer free shuttle to Anse Lazio to overcome no-so-good-local-beach-problem.
This is probably true, because one end of the beach (with life guard) was crowded more than we got used to in Seychelles. Don't imagine crowded beach now, there were only so many people that you could not count to get clean photo any time soon and some editing was necessary to achieve this goal. I liked this beach the most from whole Seychelles (from those we have visited) when I considered swimming as the main goal. Really clean water, nice sandy beach, but sand was so hard near to water that surge did not disturb it and mess the water. Zuzka must had to like it too, because she wanted to return next day. I am glad she got that idea. I did not take my camera with me this time, just to have less things to worry about. BTW, it is well known fact that Anse Lazio is place where your belongings are not completely safe. Each day, there was a police person who informed us to keep am eye on our stuff all the time.
This is probably part of Anse Lazio, but I needed to climb over the boulders to get there. There is no sandy beach there, but boulders and color of water was amazing. This is panorama from 3 photos.
Previous photos were from the end of beach we found out first. We stayed there for couple of hours under Takamaka tree, then moved a bit further. We settled under another Takamaka tree. That was our final "settlement" and following day we went directly for that spot.
Following 2 photos are from middle of Anse Lazio, but the last one is from distant part of it.
Waves here were much smaller and less frequent than in Anse Georgette.
Other end of Anse Lazio, close to official beach with life guard. I did not take many photos at this end, because it was not possible to avoid people here. I made an effort to delete them from this photo.
So this is it. All about our visit to Seychelles. 12 complete days, one half day and one morning in paradise. Plus 12 and 13 hours long flights (counting stop in Dubai) that was not bad too.
