Beach Anse Kerlan was only 100m from our accommodation in Praslin, but it got so low priority that we went there only once to check how it looks like. It happened shortly before another trip so we took 5 photos and left. If there will not be anything better, we might return...

Real attraction for us were beaches Anse Georgette and Anse Lazio. To get to both of them you need to walk. It is up to you to decide how much.

To Anse Georgette

It is at northwestern end of Praslin, not too far from our accommodation. Bad and good news at once is that it surrounded by Constance LĂ©muria resort. Bad part is that you need to sign in at security gate. Actually, that is the 2nd step. The 1st step is ask at your accommodation to call them and tell them (ask them?) you are coming.

Good part is however really good. From gate you Golf Restaurant (or something like that) and ask there if they could take you to to Anse by golf cart. They took us without any questions even seeing clearly we are not their customers. If no, you still have another chance - walk more, and after 2nd tennis court, there is hotel reception and you can wait there for some regular transfer.

After our arrival to Anse Georgette, driver asked when we'd like to go back. At 6pm. We were there at time with many other people and no cart seemed to be coming. Only later the bigger one, probably regular transfer came. So we got lift also on our way home.

If that still does not work, you need to walk about 20-25 minutes through golf court and over the hills. I really liked more our golf cart. Driver even stopped at the place with the best view for me to take picture. BTW, there are a few Coco de Mer palms around. I would not notice if there was no clear information panel on them.

Golf course before golf cart ride.

Outlook from top. Just short stop on our ride.

Golf course next to Anse Georgette in the evening. Taken by iPhone, because battery in my camera was dead.

Anse Georgette

Beautiful beach, with clean sand, clean water, sufficiently deep for swimming close to shore. Palms and other foliage around, boulders at the sides.

Only disadvantage were quite big waves. They were fine for swimming. They offered also nice possibilities for photos (as you can see below). But I had to be very careful to check when they were coming, so that I could stick my camera in the air. Despite being careful as much as possible, I had to run out of water twice to dry camera out. 2nd incident was worse, wave I did not see coming, went over my head. Only when we were leaving I have noticed I am missing my hat. It had to be taken by that wave...

That was very interesting. Beach was sandy, but these waves were not dirty from sand. They had very nice translucent turquoise color.

It is interesting, but nobody had iPad in the water. What a difference compared to Anse Source D'Argent in La Digue. Actually, I was only one with camera in the water most of the time...

Only person using his camera extensively apart from me, of course, was a wedding photographer with his clients. But he was making money, unlike me :-)
