Queenstown
Queenstown is very nice town, one of my favourite from whole New Zealand. But maybe it was because of nice weather (sunny, not so hot as it was in Bangkok and Sydney) and it was our first. No, definitely it deserves to be liked. It has nice and huge lake and it is surrounded by mountains. It reminds me Štrbské Pleso back in home.
We stayed at Lakefront YHA. It is very good hostel with friendly staff, as in all other hostels in New Zealand. When we were settled there we went to look around and to buy some food. As the name of YHA suggests, to get to town centre we had to walk along shore of the lake Wakatipu. It was amazing. Nice blue water with nice surf, graceful trees, sunshine, mountains at the other shore of lake.
Why am I describing it? I can show photos!
Glimpse of tomorrows weather.
Later, during evening we went to nearby peninsula - Queenstown Garden. Peter went there to look for geo caches and I wanted to make pictures. We both were satisfied and returned back after dusk.
