Maldives - more from Holiday Island

Interior of island

This is a place where you can find a shade. At least some. It is not the same as air conditioned room, because it is still rather hot, but bearable also at noon.

Our bungalow was at the end of island, so quite far from Restaurant, but I always liked going there and back along these shaded pathways. The same applies to situations when I went to check emails to bar with only (and terrible) WiFi on the island.

Spa

We did not get any procedure there, actually we were not inside. But it looked amazing even from outside and over the fence.

Entrance to spa was always decorated with fresh flowers. Each day different design (at least I think there were many more).
I did not take photo of local garden, but they needed a lot of flowers each day. Also for other places.

Island at night

It is pity we got bright Moon during our stay, because I wanted to take photos of Milky Way. That was not possible, yet I got interesting photos, thanks to bright Moon.

But we should start with sunsets...

Night life at Holiday Island

I am sure following photos are not what you would expect after reading the title. Yet, it fits.

While at home I read a lot of discussions about this resort. People discussing where to snorkel, which side is nicer. They claimed the other side of island, where staff lives, is worse than our side, because they have seen rats there.

I could not sleep at the second night so I sat on porch and then I noticed movement around me. I've realised those are rats. About 2 or 3 of them, running from side to side. I took my camera, installed flash unit and started hunting... while still sitting at porch.

Life is good for sharks around Maldivian resorts. They don't need to prey on people (don't worry, they don't eat them). They are fed every night at 9pm. And people go to watch and film. It is not only interesting, but walking on night jetty is quite refreshing after hot day.
