« Green, violet and white | Medieval city of Rhodes at night » |
Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights of Rhodes
We were accommodated in Royal Aparthotel City Centre, very convenient location close to bus station and to medieval city, to allow visiting it several times. Just by seeing it on map I did not realize how close it was.
We spent more time exploring west coast and we were unfortunate enough to visit the castle later afternoon when some parts of it had been already closed. They offered us possibility to revisit with the same ticket later, but because they had 2 days strike starting next day, it could not help us.
Whole medieval city of Rhodes is surrounded by impressive walls.

Medieval Rhodes
Rest of walled medieval city is very busy tourist place. I would say I have not seen many which would be busier. But I have not seen all of them... yet :-)
I try to avoid photos full of people so I cannot show any proof of my claim. But it was really packed by shops, restaurants, people selling stupid things directly in street. And of course it was full of tourists.
