Akbar's Mausoleum and Baby Taj
After our breakfast we got into our taxi again. Driver was taking us somewhere we really did not care much as it was not in our original plan (we planned to see Taj Mahal and Agra Fort here, but we did not count with luxury of private car).
Akbar's Mausoleum
As it turned out our next stop is Akbar's Mausoleum.
Driver told us again not to take guided tour and we happily agreed, because 3 guides we had till now were quite expensive. We do not need more. We can finally see serious blue sky and it is hot again so it looks like I will try to make this visit short. Finally some cheaper place - only 110 Rs. That means it is smaller. Mausoleum is build from red stone as were surrounding buildings at Taj Mahal. We went inside then around. Many people were there, but I did not consider them obstacle as at Taj Mahal. Contrary, I saw it as good opportunity to take photos with people! And women are dressed in so colourful dresses. It will really enhance those photos.
Main gate.
Beautiful decoration inside.
Baby Taj
Baby Taj is another tomb, it is older than Taj Mahal, but smaller. Usage of white marble instead of red stone used for everything else in Agra is reason for its popular name. And who should remember Itmad-Ud-Daulah's Tomb!
It was our next stop, again we did not plan to come here, but our driver knew it is worth of visit. It is also beautifully decorated, but details are not done as thoroughly as on Taj Mahal. As we got to main tomb we left our shoes bit further away from guy "guarding them". But still in his reach. Later as we wanted to collect them he asked for money. However I have instructed my shoes to guard themselves before, so his service was not needed and our payment made that clear - Zilch.
This family asked Zuzka to help them with taking photo (with their camera). She then took another one with her camera. Group of people in distance is considering if they should pay for finding their shoes where they left them :-)
Notice details. Beautiful from some distance, but not crafted as well as on Taj Mahal.
I am becoming a wildlife photographer :-)
Other bank of river - less attractive area in Agra. Notice that air is still not very clean.
