Český Krumlov during day

We came in afternoon, after accommodating at very nice place with even nicer owner Pension Ametyst we went out to explore old city.

It was last lime we could see blue sky during our stay, so I have only a few photos. I did not try to take many photos, because I thought there will be many more opportunities.

There is amazing castle in Český Krumlov, It is the second largest castle in Czech Republic. It is hard to see it whole at one visit. They are aware of it and they sell more types of tickets to visit different places. We split visiting it to 2 days.

Panorama of old town, surrounded by Vltava river. Panoramas usually skew perspective, but the bend of the river really surrounds small "island of houses".

Český Krumlov during night

I was not able to satisfy my lust for day light photos, but it was compensated properly during night.

It was after rain, with occasional drizzling. I got my tripod with me and was more than happy with the results.

Our hotel Ametyst is on this street, it is just couple of meters behind this place.

Gate with covered bridge. Unfortunately I cannot find its name.

Better view of tower, I have taken photos of castle and old town from. It is one place where you need to buy ticket.

I have mentioned castle, but did not show any photo of it yet. This is going to change. Expect no other photos here from now ;-) Let's see it from outside first and then go inside.

This photo needed many retries. I was standing on wooden bridge over river Vltava. Constant flow of tourists was happening behind me. Bridge was vibrating according to their steps and it ruined several 10 second exposures.
